The video track comprises of a continuous shot which moves through a corridor over a period of five minutes. The sound track is a voice over of a Slavic male voice.
The voice over was written with the corridor's deep depth of field, low lighting and the camera's navigational rather than narrative vision in mind in order to create a dark, baroque-like atmosphere. I set out to try and blur language and, as a result blur the agent of language. It explores ideas of multiplicity, the idea of the body without organs, and of notions of memory. In working with the voice I also became aware of the visceral qualities and grain of the voice.
